A Minyan of the National Pastime for Passover 2021

Tonight, March 27th, begins the Jewish holiday of Passover, when Jewish people celebrate the Exodus. "This year we are in bondage, next year may we all be free" is the oft-use saying for the Seder, the ritual dinner that takes place on the first night of the holiday.
This year, Passover takes on special resonance because in a way, we have all been in quarantine so it's been a very difficult year that has kept us away from our friends and family. And as we celebrate the holiday, we remember our Black American brothers and sisters who have experienced the re-emergence of Jim Crow in Georgia and elsewhere. That said, this is very much a season of hope.

With that hope in mind, here is a minyan of Jewish ballplayers: ten cards of players from the 1940s to the present day, inspired by the art and culture with which I grew up. I hope you enjoy them.

"This year we are in bondage -- next year may we all be free."
